Some things end, others begin.

First post! Yay!

It's 8pm, the day before I am to leave for DC... at 3:30am. I figure I'll watch a bit of TV and write this post while I hope to fall become sleepy soon.

The weather looks great this weekend for the 82 8th graders I'll be shepherding through the city until Monday. This trip last year is what made me seek my internship this summer. On the flight home, I was going through the Air and Space Museum guidebook, and I started to wonder, "I wonder if they have something in the summer for teachers?" They have a Summer Internship program for college students, so I figured it was as good a time as any to begin getting my Master's in Education.

Yes... I started grad school just to get this internship. It's usually the other way around (just one of the many ways I'm backward).

I'm looking forward to every facet of this experience. I know I'll be among the finest STEAM educators in the country while working at the museum, and I can't wait to get involved in our projects.

I've been reading a lot about the Sun to prepare, and my reading material for the flight is the Next Generation Science Standards (exciting, huh?).

Well, this blog is supposed to be about my experience and, since right now I have yet to begin the experience, I will stop now. Happy trails!
